A Cape York Adventure takes you into one of the most naturally beautiful and remote regions in Australia. A fishing mecca known internationally as a fishing haven. Weipa, Cape York's largest town is situated approximately 360km from the northern most point of the Australian mainland - the Cape York Peninsular - in Far North Queensland. The closest major centre is Cairns some 900km to the south east. There are 2 Qantaslink flights from Cairns to Weipa (Monday - Friday) and 1 x Qantaslink flight into Weipa from Cairns on Saturdays and Sundays. Weipa enjoys a tropical climate all year round. Here in the tropics there are only two seasons. The Wet Season from December through February and the Dry Season the rest of the year. Everyday during Dry Season is moderately temperate with vibrant blue skys. Nights are magical as you watch the millions of stars as they appear in a black velvet sky. Day time temperatures will range from 28 - 34ºC with night time temperatures 17 - 21ºC. During the winter days are warm and nights are mild.
